New Grant Scheme to Support First-Time Caymanian Homebuyers

The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA), in collaboration with The Premier, is advancing a proposal aimed at helping Caymanians achieve homeownership. The initiative will provide grants of up to CI$5,000 to eligible first-time buyers.

According to a Government press release issued on 16 December 2025, the grant is designed to assist with closing costs and related expenses. Caymanians who qualify for and receive the Government’s stamp duty waiver for first-time purchases will also be eligible for this additional financial support.

The program is scheduled for discussion and finalization in January 2026, with an anticipated launch by February 2026.
