Meet Shell-B: The Bovell Team’s Newest Member

The Bovell Team is proud to introduce our newest sponsored team member, Shell-B.

This juvenile green sea turtle was recently tagged along Grand Cayman’s North Wall as part of an important conservation initiative led by the Cayman Islands Department of Environment.

The programme combines acoustic and satellite telemetry technology to help researchers better understand sea turtle movements within Cayman waters and throughout the wider Caribbean. Shell-B’s tagging is particularly significant, as green sea turtles are rarely caught in the North Wall area.

“Catching green turtles in that area is quite challenging, so we were lucky to have the opportunity!”
Alex Prat Varela, Project Lead

Shell-B’s name was inspired by both her beautiful shell and our passion for helping people find a place to call home. Just as sea turtles carry their homes wherever they go, The Bovell Team has spent more than 30 years helping individuals and families find a place to call their own in the Cayman Islands.

For us, home extends beyond real estate. By sponsoring Shell-B, we are supporting vital conservation research, helping protect Cayman’s unique marine environment, and contributing to efforts that ensure sea turtles continue to thrive for generations to come.

We look forward to following Shell-B’s journey and supporting the important work being done to better understand and protect these remarkable animals.
